Your kit checklist
Pack it into a small bag and give it to a bridesmaid, usher or your wedding planner to keep close by on the day.
Why an emergency kit is worth packing
Most wedding day mishaps are small — a snapped bra strap, a scuffed shoe, a sudden headache before the speeches — but they land at the worst possible moment, with no shop nearby and no time to spare. A kit packed the week before means someone (your maid of honour, your mum, a groomsman) can fix it in under a minute instead of it becoming the story everyone remembers. Keep it in one bag, hand it to someone who won't be pulled away for photos all day, and check it against this list again the morning of.

Questions
Wedding Day Emergency Kit Checklist: common questions
Who should put together a wedding emergency kit?
It suits the couple, a bridesmaid, an usher or a wedding planner, whoever will be close by on the day. The checklist covers repairs and alterations, first aid and comfort, hair and beauty touch-ups, tech and practical items, and a just-in-case section. Pack it into a small bag and give it to someone who will stay nearby.
Can I print or share the checklist?
Yes. Press Print to print it or save it as a PDF, or Copy checklist to paste it into a message. Email this draft to myself opens your email app with the list filled in, so you can forward it to whoever is packing the bag.
Does the checklist save my ticks?
No. Your ticks are kept only while the page is open, so they will be lost if you close the tab or reload. Nothing is stored in your browser or sent to the website. Print or copy the list once you have ticked it if you want a record.
When should I pack the emergency kit?
Pack it a few days before the wedding, not on the morning, so there is time to buy anything missing. Keep it with the outfits or the rings so it travels to the venue, and make sure the person holding it knows where it is during the ceremony, photos and speeches.
Tim’s tip
Put a phone charger and a spare cable in the kit. Speeches, music requests and photos often rely on phones, and a flat battery at the wrong moment is easily avoided.
