Price and capacity are only the start. Ask each venue what's actually included in the headline figure. Tables, chairs, linen and a cleared-up room by midnight aren't always a given. Check curfew times against your evening entertainment plans. Ask whether there's a separate space for the ceremony and reception. Find out how much you can bring in yourselves, and what must come from their approved suppliers. A venue that looks cheaper on paper can cost more once extras are added. This venue comparison tool makes those trade-offs visible side by side, before you put down a deposit.

Venue Comparison Tool: common questions
What does the venue comparison tool compare?
You add up to four venues and fill in the same rows for each. The rows cover price, guest capacity, what is included, location, parking, accommodation, catering, bar, and tables and chairs. They also cover the dance floor or DJ area, a late licence past 11pm, pros, cons and your own rating. Seeing them side by side makes the differences easier to spot than separate brochures.
How do I share the comparison with my partner or family?
Use Copy comparison to paste the table into a message or document. Use Print to print it or save it as a PDF. Email this draft to myself opens your email app with the comparison filled in and no recipient. Then forward it to anyone helping with the decision.
Where is my comparison saved?
In your browser's local storage on this device, so your venues are still there when you come back on the same browser. Nothing is sent to Mobile Disco Network or the venues. Clear all removes everything, and so does clearing your browser data. Copy or print it if you switch devices.
What should I ask a venue about entertainment?
Ask about the curfew and late licence, any sound limiter, and where the DJ can set up. Check for power sockets near the dance floor, and the load-in time and access. Many venues also ask suppliers for public liability insurance and PAT certificates. Check what paperwork they need before you book.
Tim’s tip
Ask each venue if they have a sound limiter and at what level it cuts the power. A limiter set too low can cut the music mid-song, so it is worth knowing before you sign.
