Book a Mini Disco for the evening
Activity packs and quiet corners get children through the meal and speeches — but the evening reception is often hours long, and that's where boredom (and bored-child meltdowns) really set in. A dedicated Mini Disco or kids' entertainer keeps them dancing, playing party games and having their own fun, safely away from the bar, while the grown-ups enjoy theirs.

Questions
Children at the Wedding Planner: common questions
Who is this children at the wedding planner for?
It is for couples, parents and ushers planning how to keep young guests happy through the quieter parts of a wedding. You enter how many babies, preschoolers, young children and tweens are coming, plus how long the meal and speeches will last, and it suggests activities for each age group and a kit list for the children's tables.
Can I print the kit list for the children's tables?
Yes. After you press Build my kids' plan, use Print checklist to print the plan or save it as a PDF, or Copy my plan to paste it into a message or document. Handing a printed copy to whoever is looking after the children's tables means the packs and activities are ready before the meal starts.
Does the planner save my numbers?
No. Your numbers stay in the page only while it is open and nothing is stored in your browser or sent to a server. The optional Get a quote from Tim link opens your own email app with a draft addressed to Mobile Disco Network, and nothing is sent unless you choose to send that email yourself.
When do children usually find a wedding hardest?
The long sit-down stretches are the tricky part: the meal, the speeches and the wait between them. The timeline shows how long that is for your day so you can plan activity packs and quiet corners. The evening reception can also run for hours, which is why the page suggests a mini disco or entertainer for later on.
Tim’s tip
Seat the children's tables within sight of their parents but away from the speaker stacks and cables. Ask parents to bring ear defenders for babies and toddlers if they plan to stay for the evening dancing.
