Questions
Dance Floor Planner: common questions
What is a good wedding reception running order?
A common order is evening guests arriving, the cake, the first dance, then a party set. Serve the buffet about an hour into the dancing, add games or a slow set later, and finish on your last song.
When should we serve the evening buffet?
About an hour after the dancing starts works for many couples. Serving it straight after the first dance pulls people off the dance floor just as it fills up.
How long should the party set be?
Allow at least 90 minutes of dancing across the evening, broken up with the cake, buffet or a game, so guests have time to get going without tiring out.
Is my plan saved?
It saves in this browser only. Nothing is sent to Mobile Disco Network unless you choose to email it.
Tim’s tip
Send your DJ your evening plan a few weeks before the day. The music can then build towards your big moments, instead of stopping and starting.
