Public Events Questions

Are these public events free to attend?

The Watton Christmas Lights Switch-On is free and open to the public, with no tickets needed. The Dunston Hall Bunkers Bar Christmas Party Nights and Broads Tours' Boogie On The Broads cruises are ticketed. Book them through those venues' own websites.

Can I book Tim for my own wedding or party after seeing him at one of these events?

Yes. These public appearances are separate from private bookings. Come and say hello, then get in touch to check availability for your own wedding, party or event.

How do I get tickets for the Dunston Hall or Boogie Boat nights?

The venues sell tickets for both, not Mobile Disco Network. Book the Bunkers Bar Christmas Party Nights via Dunston Hall's own website. Book Boogie On The Broads via Broads Tours' own website.

Where can I see Tim's next public appearance?

Tim's next confirmed public event is the Watton Christmas Lights Switch-On on Sunday 29 November 2026. It's on Watton High Street in Norfolk from 1pm to 4pm, free and open to everyone, with no booking needed. Dates for the Dunston Hall party nights and the Broads Tours cruises are being finalised. They'll be added here as soon as they're confirmed.

Do I need to book in advance to see Tim at these public events?

It depends on the event. The Watton Christmas Lights Switch-On is a free, open public event on the High Street, so just turn up. The Dunston Hall Bunkers Bar Christmas Party Nights and the Broads Tours Boogie On The Broads cruises are ticketed. Book them in advance through those venues' own websites.

Want Tim At Your Own Event?

These are public appearances only — for weddings, parties, and private bookings, get in touch directly to check availability. Want a Selfie Pod photo booth alongside the disco? That's available for private bookings too.

Getting the Most From a Night Out at One of These Events

Each appearance works a little differently, from a free street event to ticketed nights run by the venues. A little planning makes the visit easier.

Check the details with the venue first

Some dates on this page are still being confirmed. Tickets for the Dunston Hall and Broads Tours nights are sold by those venues, not by Mobile Disco Network. Before you set off, check the venue's own website for the latest dates, times and any changes. Ticketed nights around Christmas, and summer evenings on the water, can sell out. Planning a group outing? Book early and check what the ticket includes.

Plan your journey and your way home

Town centre events often mean road closures, busy car parks and crowds at the start and finish. Allow extra time and consider walking or a lift. For an evening cruise, arrive in good time, because a boat cannot wait for latecomers. Going to a Christmas party night with a group? Sort out taxis or a designated driver beforehand, not at closing time when local firms are busiest.

Dress for the setting

A late November afternoon on a high street turns cold quickly once the light goes. Warm layers, gloves and comfortable shoes make a big difference, especially for children. On the Broads, evenings feel cooler on the water than on land, even in summer, so bring a jacket. Indoor party nights are the opposite: you'll probably want somewhere to leave a heavy coat.

Use the night to judge a DJ for your own event

Seeing a DJ work a real crowd is one of the best ways to decide whether they suit your own celebration. Notice how the music changes as the mood shifts, and whether people can still talk. Watch how they handle requests and announcements. Note anything you liked, then mention it when you enquire. It gives a much clearer brief than describing a style from scratch.

From Tim

A word from Tim Daymond

These are the nights where you can see me working without booking anything. Watton's switch-on is free and out on the High Street. The Dunston Hall and Broads Tours nights are ticketed through the venues. I'm there in person at all of them, as I am at every private booking, so come and say hello between songs. Like what you hear and want me for your own wedding or party? I'm happy to talk it through afterwards or by phone.
