Questions
Wedding Flower Picker: common questions
What does the wedding flower picker show?
It shows which British-grown flowers are in season in your wedding month, with their colours, scent and a price band. If you pick a colour, the closest matches are shown first. A rough cost guide by item, such as bridesmaid bouquets, buttonholes and centrepieces, helps you see what to discuss with a florist.
How do I take my shortlist to a florist?
Star the flowers you like, press Build my shortlist, then use Print / Save as PDF to bring a copy to your consultation, or Copy my shortlist to paste it into an email. The shortlist includes the rough cost guide, which is a general guide only and will vary by florist, design and region.
Does the flower picker save my choices?
No. Your month, colour and starred flowers stay in the page only while it is open and are not stored or sent to a server. The Send this to Tim link opens your own email app with a draft of your shortlist, and nothing is sent unless you choose to send it yourself.
Can I have flowers that are out of season?
Often yes, as imported flowers, roses especially, are available all year through most florists, but they usually cost more. Choosing flowers that are in season in the UK for your month tends to give better value and fresher blooms. Ask your florist which local flowers will look best on your date.
Tim’s tip
Share your colours with your DJ as well as your florist. Uplighting can be set to match the flowers, so the room keeps the same look after dark.
Colours chosen?
Light the room to match
Venue uplighting can be set to your wedding colours, so the room matches your flowers once the sun goes down. Book Tinsel Tim across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
