Booking a group rate
Most hotels will hold a block of rooms for wedding guests at a discount if you ask. Work through this before you commit to one place.

Questions
Guest Accommodation Finder: common questions
Does this tool list hotels itself?
No. It builds search links for hotels and B&Bs on Google Maps, Booking.com and a general Google search using your venue name or postcode, so you see real, current results on those sites. You then add the places worth recommending to your own shortlist, with type, distance, price per night and notes, ready to share with guests.
How do I share the shortlist with guests?
Use Copy shortlist & checklist to paste it into a wedding website, group chat or invitation insert, or press Print. Email this draft to myself opens your email app with the shortlist filled in and no recipient, so you can add guests' addresses or forward it. Clear everything empties the list when you want to start again.
Is my shortlist saved, and who can see it?
Your venue, shortlist and checklist ticks are saved in your browser's local storage on this device, so they are there when you come back. Nothing is sent to Mobile Disco Network. The search buttons open Google or Booking.com with your venue name or postcode in the link, and that site then sees your search.
When should we ask hotels about a group rate?
As soon as your venue and date are confirmed, especially for weekends in summer or near popular events. Ask how many rooms they will hold, the discount, the deadline for guests to book before unbooked rooms are released, and whether you are liable for any that go unused. The checklist on the page covers these points.
Tim’s tip
Give guests a rough finish time when you share the accommodation list. Knowing the last song is at midnight helps them book a taxi or a room nearby rather than leaving early to drive.
Guests staying the night?
Then they can dance until the end
Tim’s wedding packages can run right through to midnight, so guests who don’t have to drive can make the most of it. Book Tinsel Tim across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
