Kids disco questions, answered
Here are the kids disco questions parents and schools ask Tim most, from party games and ages to clean music and timings.
Tim’s tip: Keep the party to two hours for younger children. It's long enough for games and dancing, and they go home happy rather than overtired.

Children’s Parties & Proms: your questions
What ages do you cater for at children's parties?
All ages.
For toddlers and pre-school children (1 to 4), it's gentle action songs, Disney favourites, simple movement games and bubbles. Primary school children (5 to 11) get a high-energy disco with games, dance-offs and prizes. For teens and proms (12 to 18), it's a club-style night with chart music and QR code requests, without the party games.
What games do you play at children's parties?
Tim hosts the games himself.
Favourites include the snowball fight with 200 soft pom-poms, musical scavenger chairs, statues and bumps, the boat race, the dancing broom and the ABC game, with dance-offs and prizes along the way. Games and music can follow a theme, such as pirates, princesses or superheroes.
Is the music clean for children?
Yes.
Every track is checked for explicit lyrics, and clean radio edits are used wherever they exist. Tim is also Enhanced DBS checked.
How long is a children's party?
Children's party packages run for 2 hours, which is the right length for most ages.
Proms and school discos run for 4 hours. See the Children's Parties page for each package.
How early should we book a children's party DJ?
For Saturday parties and the summer holidays, book a few months ahead.
Weekday and Sunday parties are often easier to fit in at shorter notice, so check your date on the booking page.
What happens if we need to move a children's party?
Let Tim know as soon as you can.
If he's free on the new date, your booking can usually move across. Your contract explains the terms before you sign.

Music, volume, and pacing are all tailored to suit the specific group on the day.

What happens if the party is meant to be outdoors and it rains?
For guaranteed reliability, have an indoor space or a covered area like a gazebo or marquee as a backup.
