Questions
Thank-You Card Maker: common questions
Who is the thank-you card maker for?
It is for anyone thanking a list of people after a wedding, birthday, party, Christmas, retirement or new baby. Paste each guest with the gift they gave, and every card thanks them by name for their gift. Leave the list empty to make the same card for everyone, with the number of copies you need.
Can I send the cards by email instead of printing?
Yes. Download all as images to send (ZIP) gives one picture per guest to attach to an email or WhatsApp message, or download just the card shown. To print, use Download print-ready PDF, print at Actual size or 100%, ideally on 200 to 300 gsm card, and cut along the grey lines.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photo is read and cropped inside your browser, and the PDF, ZIP and JPG files are created on your own device. The page does not send your photo, guest names or gift list to any server and does not save them, so download your files before closing or reloading the page.
How soon should thank-you cards be sent?
Aim to send them within a few weeks of the event while the day is fresh in everyone's mind, or within a couple of months after a wedding if you are waiting for photos. Keeping a note of who gave what during gift opening makes the list quick to paste in later.
Tim’s tip
Ask someone to write down who gave each gift as it arrives or is opened. Writing the cards afterwards is far easier when the list is already there.
