Questions
Signs Pack Maker: common questions
What signs come in the packs?
The packs include signs such as welcome, unplugged ceremony, cards and gifts, bar, dance floor and toilets, with separate starting packs for weddings, birthdays or parties, and Christmas or work parties. You can edit any wording, add pictures such as a camera or cake, add direction arrows, and create new signs of your own.
What size should I print the signs?
A4 portrait or landscape suits a home printer. A5 prints two per A4 sheet, with an optional cut line, and works well on tables. A3 is best for welcome signs at an entrance, so take that PDF to a print shop. Print at Actual size / 100%, ideally on 200 to 300 gsm card.
Does the tool save my signs?
No. Your signs and wording are kept only while the page is open and are drawn in your browser to make the PDF or image. Nothing is stored for your next visit and nothing is sent to Mobile Disco Network. Download the PDF before you close the page so you have a copy to print again.
Which signs are most useful at an event?
Direction signs to the toilets, bar and main room save guests asking staff the same question all night. A welcome sign at the entrance confirms people are in the right place, especially at venues hosting more than one event. A cards and gifts sign gives presents one safe spot instead of scattering them across tables.
Tim’s tip
Put signs up before guests arrive and check them from where people will actually walk in. A sign that makes sense standing next to it can be easy to miss from the doorway.
