Questions

Photo Booth Props Maker: common questions

What occasions is the photo booth props maker for?

There are presets for weddings, hen parties, stag dos, birthdays, Christmas parties and any party. Choosing one picks a set of picture props and fills in suitable words for the speech bubbles and signs. You can then change anything, add your own phrases such as names or a hashtag, and choose how many of each prop to print.

How do I print and make up the props?

Download the PDF and print at Actual size or 100%, ideally on 250 to 300 gsm card so the props stay stiff. Cut around each shape and cut out the dotted eye holes in the glasses. Then tape a wooden skewer, lolly stick or paper straw to the back. Outline only saves ink if you want guests to colour them in.

Are my words or choices stored anywhere?

No. The words, props and colours you choose are used inside your browser to draw the print sheet and build the PDF or JPG. Nothing is saved to your device's storage and nothing is sent to Mobile Disco Network or any server, so your choices are cleared when you close the page.

How many props should I make for a party?

There is no fixed rule, but aim for enough that a group of four to six can each hold something in one photo, with spares for breakages. Mix picture props with a few word signs, because signs with names or in-jokes tend to get picked up most. Keep them in a basket or box next to where the photos are taken.

Tim’s tip

Put the props right next to wherever people take photos and leave a bin bag nearby for broken sticks. Props that are out of sight or have to be carried across the room rarely get used.
