Questions
Bunting Maker: common questions
What can I use the bunting maker for?
It suits any celebration where a personal message on the wall helps. Think birthdays, engagements, weddings, baby showers, retirements, welcome-home parties and Christmas. You type your own words, and each letter gets its own flag. You can add up to 12 photos, such as then-and-now pictures for a milestone birthday. Place them at the ends or between the words.
How do I print and hang the flags?
Download the print-ready PDF and print at Actual size or 100%, ideally on 160 to 250 gsm card. Large flags are 18 cm wide with one per A4 sheet. Medium is two per sheet and small is four. Cut round each flag and its tab. Fold the tab over ribbon, string or twine along the dotted line, then glue or tape it down.
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Photos are read and cropped inside your browser to fit each flag. The PDF and JPG files are created on your own device. The page does not send your words or pictures to any server, and it does not save your design. Download your PDF before closing the tab, or you will need to set it up again.
How long should bunting be for a room?
Measure the wall or span you want to cover before you print. Then count the flags in your message, plus any end flags and gaps. Short messages on large flags suit a single wall or the top table. For a long run across a marquee, add end flags or a second line. Tick Double-sided so it reads correctly from both sides.
Tim’s tip
Hang printable bunting high enough that tall guests and the DJ's lighting stand will not catch it. Keep it away from the top of speakers. I always suggest checking with the venue what fixings they allow before the day.
