Questions

Party Games Card Maker: common questions

Who are the party games cards for?

They are for parents and helpers running games at a children's party. Each card shows what you need, how to play in up to five steps and a version that keeps every child in the game. Choosing an age group, from little ones aged 3 to 5 up to older children and family parties, ticks a suggested set of games you can change.

What does the printed pack include?

You get one card per game at A6 or A5, numbered in play order if you choose. Tick the games plan option to add an A4 sheet with the running order, start times, what you need and a tick box for each game. Print at Actual size or 100%, ideally on 160 to 250 gsm card.

Is anything I type saved or sent?

No. The cards and games plan are made in your browser, and the PDF and JPG are created on your own device. The page does not send your party name or games to any server and does not save them, so download your PDF before you close or reload the page.

How many games should we plan for a two-hour party?

It depends on the ages and what else is happening, but plan more games than you think you need, as some finish quickly and others fall flat. Mix active games with calmer ones before food. Always have an adult running each game and check the space is clear before any running games.

Tim’s tip

Start with a game everyone already knows so shy children can join in straight away. Keep prizes small and make sure every child goes home with something, not only the winners.
