Questions
DJ Song List: common questions
How many songs should go on a must-play list?
Ten to fifteen is plenty for an evening. A good DJ needs room to read the dance floor, so keep the must-plays to the songs that really matter and put the rest under play if you can.
Should we have a do-not-play list?
Yes, it is one of the most useful things you can give a DJ. Add the songs you never want to hear, whether that is a cheesy party dance or a song with bad memories, and your DJ will steer clear even if a guest requests it.
Is my list saved?
It saves automatically in this browser on this device, so you can come back and add to it. To share it, use the share link, which carries the whole list inside it. Nothing is sent to Mobile Disco Network unless you choose to email it.
Can my DJ open the list?
Yes. Send the share link by email or WhatsApp and your DJ sees the full sheet and can print it. Or print it yourself or save it as a PDF to attach to an email.
Tim’s tip
Give me your do-not-play list even if it is only three songs. I would rather know that you can't stand a song than find out from your face on the night.
